A truly excellent recipe combines diverse flavors and ingredients. As recipes are passed down from generation to generation, they are slightly changed to an individual taste, but the core ingredients stay the same. We hope the 8th Annual Indiana Systems of Care Conference…A Recipe for Success, will bring you the same result – diverse ingredients and an experience that is individualized to meet your personal taste. This year’s conference will be held at the Adam’s Mark Indianapolis Airport Hotel on October 3, 2008.

We are excited to announce a new partnership with the Indiana Department of Child Services, along with our valued collaboration with the Indiana Division of Mental Health and Addiction. Each year mental health professionals, child welfare and juvenile justice workers, educators, families and youth come together to experience the Statewide Indiana Systems of Care Conference. The conference features breakout sessions with topics about the many aspects of systems of care and child welfare practice reform that we share, along with schools and those who work in juvenile justice and probation.  Attendees learn about new ways to serve youth while collaborating with other child serving systems in Indiana. This is one of the only conferences in Indiana that offers cross-system tracks, demonstrating to those who work in mental health, child welfare, juvenile justice and special education how we can work together with youth and families to achieve outcomes we all desire.

Our Guest Keynote Speaker
We are pleased to announce this year’s keynote speaker: Dr. Mike Thomson. For the past 25 years, Dr. Mike has been described as “The Master of Entertainment, Fun and Learning”. More than 2 million people worldwide have enjoyed his presentations. Dr. Mike has been an author, therapist, consultant, coach, education, university professor and internationally admired speaker. His variety of professional experience began in the public school system in Austin, Minnesota, where he worked with the schools, court system and the police department.

Dr. Mike will deliver an inspiring and insightful message entitled “Strategies for Saving your Sanity”. For more information about Dr. Mike, visit his web site at www.itsallaboutcharacter.com.
